There are about 3000 sakura trees in this spot. When they blossom along the gorge in the spring, the view is dazzling. What about walking along the murmuring stream, admiring the beautiful gorge, and enter in one of the natural spring bath facilities?
Located in the center of Mishima peninsula, this is the largest ancient tomb along Yodogawa river. The biggest Haniwa clay figure was unearthed from the site. The tomb was reproduced in its entirety, and was designated as National historic site in 1958.
Created along the former banks of the Ibaraki River, this site is officially listed as one of Osaka's top 100 green spaces by the Osaka government. It is a large-scale green area at approximately 5km in total length and is replete with flower beds and gurgling water features, fitness amenities and a children's zone with swings and other playground equipment. Visitors here can enjoy an estimated 70,000 trees overall, including approximately 1,500 Yoshino trees and other cherry blossom cultivars planted throughout various plum-tree groves and other carefully tended gardens and parkland.
Ibaraki Cherry Blossom Festival
March 27 through April 5 (everyday from 10am to 9pm)
Lanterns and lamps are lit at night and the area is decorated with gardening art. On weekends there are food stalls and live music.
Within the grounds of the temple are about 500 sakura trees of various species, and on both sides of the road leading to the temple sakura trees are aligned, forming a gorgeous tunnel.The statue of Benten, the goddess of arts and wisdom, is affectionately loved by the locals. Enjoy a peaceful and memorable time here.
Expo '70 Commemorative Park is listed as one of ”Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots“ by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association. Some 5,500 cherry trees, including the Yoshino and Yamazakura varieties, bloom in unison here each year. A classic route for enjoying these cherry blossoms at their finest is along Todai Road in the Natural and Cultural Gardens section of the park, which is lit up with decorative lights after dark during cherry blossom season.
The Asahi Beer Suita Factory is the birthplace of Asahi Beer and carries with it approximately 120 years of history since it was established back in 1889. A diverse tour of the facilities that highlights the manufacturing process is also open to the public (advance bookings only, total time approx. 90 minutes). Tasting sessions showcasing freshly brewed beer are also available.
